Pitchside Football takes child welfare and protection very seriously. The Organisation has a designated Welfare Officer whose role is to ensure that we are fully compliant with the FA’s child welfare rules, guidelines and procedures. This can be downloaded using the link below.
Pitchside Football League Safeguarding Children Policy
All of our volunteers and committee members have gone through an FA DBS check, which is renewed every 3 years. We do everything we can to ensure our players are safe and we expect parents and carers to do the same.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s welfare, or indeed the welfare of any child within the League, please speak to your Clubs Child Welfare Officer.

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children are the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands.
Alongside The FA’s own procedures for responding to, and reporting concerns about a child, The FA promotes the use of the NSPCC helpline 0808 800 5000
The NSPCC helpline is open 24hrs a day and is a place adults can contact by phone or online to get advice or share their concerns about a child, anonymously if they wish. It’s staffed by professional practitioners with backgrounds in jobs like teaching, healthcare and social work, who know how to spot the signs of abuse and what to do to help.
If you have concerns about a child or young person please contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 or by emailing help@nspcc.org.uk
Whatever the issue, they’re here 24/7 to keep children safe.
You can report online abuse or concerns using the link below which links directly to CEOP.
The NCA’s CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children. They protect children from harm online and offline, directly through NCA led operations and in partnership with local and international agencies
REMEMBER SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN IS THE RESPONSILBILTY OF EVERYONE! NO ACTION IS NOT AN OPTION!
